Daydreamer

Have you ever been in love with someone you wasn’t in love with?

A sacrificial embodiment exemplifying a touch of euphoria

Pleading with the Passion Gods

And wanting to exchange the color blue for something more beautiful

Have you ever doubted that sprinkles of confetti existed in the clouds, ever

And that never will your hands gift it to the sky?

And the only rainbow exists in the pouring rain

Especially when shadows follow the sun and never lead a moment

And time repeats itself never too often and occasionally dies

I wonder if I can put your aura in a bottle and observe the scene inside

Have you ever wrapped yourself in the blanket of his warmth

And be chilled by the pleasure…?

Have you ever lifted yourself to trust the seconds pending to become forever

And gaze into eternity until eternity reaches your eyes?

Despite the world rotating against the flow of my heart

I float

And I discover the peace placed perfectly betwixt the moon and my muse

Already Gone

Body stretching in a cloud

Softly white washed

Becoming the one who see’s that one star

Who travels the destination of thought?

Bring me back to the pouring rain

And change me

My mind has changed to a less fogged window

And clarity peeks…

Imagine that we’ve become who we are

While speaking passing bricks

An unbearable load to knowing you

Forgiving the forgets, do you remember?

Our past is a new day and an old memory

Stripped from the wrongness of living right

I captured your photogenic lies

Framing all the possibilities denied

Sitting inches from a blossomed life

Shriveling into a shadow

Who were you?

Unheld

What do I say to the man who wants me to hold him and not be held?

Consider the memory never born in lips but birthed in thought

And hold…

I follow the trigger yet accomplished in my failure to keep you

Seized tightly are fleeting sounds silenced by smiles so distantly abrupt

Never could I imagine the hollow screams of passion

Unheld

And I draw the pattern of a painless fear strikingly bruised

Grasping a concept sharpened with each beat of my heart

Marking each clearly defined scar as a witness of my adoring affection

Unheld

Clearly a vision of night’s relevance to sunshine’s belief

Embracing the shameless song of the blue jays approval

Allow me not to notice the lyrics of my name written in the sky

Unheld

Do I stand shy in reach of your poetic breath?

And do I clutch the waft of your suffering

And hold… ?

I remember something so tenderly obvious

Like carving into a moment and feasting on your soul

It’s like holding you in my arms and dancing with just the wind

letting go…. Unapologetically so

When my bravery has abandoned me, how do I grip a destiny?

Forgive me

Comprehending the fantasy part of this reality

Stronger,

simply unleashing this aching pain to hold you…holding me
